Chris Finnen has become a national treasure. Among his many accolades for his work as an instrumentalist his most prestige’s recognitions are being inducted into the “New York Blues Hall of Fame” (2013), and the same year was nominated for a Pride of Australia Medal for his work in community and mentoring. Chirs finnen is a master of the guitar and for over 50 years has studied deeply the art forms of Blues, Jazz, Rock, Folk, as well as Indian music. Chris has performed for the Dalai Lama and shared the stage with greats such as Buddy Guy, Bo Diddley, Bob Brozman and Keb Mo just to name few. Chris also performs regular with Matt Taylor and Phil Manning from the band Chain. Chris has a wealth of knowledge to share and his performances are always very entertaining and inspiring.

He has represented the Adelaide Roots & Blues Association (ARBA) twice at the International Blues Challenge which is held every year in Memphis Tennessee. Mario is a graduate of the Elder conservatorium and lectures at The Adelaide College of Arts. Mario has a deep understanding and passion for drumming and its role in contemporary music. He has a great way of communicating his knowledge and passion. Even if you are not a drummer you will enjoy this master-class; great for both beginner and advanced musicians!

Evan Whetter has been nominated for “Song of The Year” at the Australian Blues Awards (2015), his band Lazy Eye won “Best Group of the Year” twice at the same awards (2015 & 2019). Evan’s albums have debuted at No1# on the Australian Roots and Blues Airplay Charts in 2015 & 2019 along with other albums that have charted in the top 10. Evan has also recorded on albums for ARIA winners The Hilltop Hoods. Evan is one of the owners and teachers at You Can Play Music and his music education experience spans over 20 years. Evan is a dynamic speaker who shares his real world experience as a song writer and performer with a sense of fun for all ages. Ella & Sienna are impressive young song writers and performers who are producing work way beyond their age. They have received accolades from the prestige’s Tamworth Country Music Festival, and have performed with Australian icon Kasey Chambers. The sisters have won many music competitions; their most recent achievement is finalist for Folk Alliance Australia, “Youth Folk Artist of the Year” (2021). Ella teaches vocals and guitar at You Can Play Music. Ella & Sienna are a vibrant musical partnership; they are excited to be sharing their experience of the song writing process, inspiring for all ages.
